After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Linsly, the Harrison Central Huskies were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 72-59 victory over Union Local. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Jets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Mehl, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dre Saunders, who scored 11 points along with nine assists.
Harrison Central's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Union Local, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.
Harrison Central will head out on the road to face off against Indian Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Local, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Bellaire will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Union Local is ranked 52nd).
