STANDISH, Maine -
Bonny Eagle (Standish, Maine) took an early lead against
Scarborough (Maine) and held on for a 33-20 victory on Saturday.
The Scots put up seven points in the opening quarter. Bonny Eagle scored on a
Zachary Dubiel touchdown pass to
Jon Woods.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, BE was up 13-12 at the half.
The Standish school grew its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. The Scots scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Dubiel to
Joe Bissonnette.
A 34-20 Bonny Eagle victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The win brought Bonny Eagle's winning streak to four games.
In an A West game next week Bonny Eagle (4-0) takes on Noble, and Scarborough (1-2) will go up against Biddeford also in an A West game.
