The Gaylesville Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 74-53 defeat to Victory Christian might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gaylesville in their matchups with Victory Christian: they've now lost six in a row.
It was another big night for Haley Hendrix, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 22 rebounds for Victory Christian. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Hendrix has scored at least 25% of Victory Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Amelia Haney, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Gaylesville bumped their record down to 1-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Victory Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
Gaylesville will stay at home for another game and welcome Collinsville at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Victory Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
