Even though the Palmetto Tigers scored an imposing 66 points on Monday, the Calvary Christian Warriors still came out on top. Calvary Christian took their matchup against Palmetto 74-66.
Calvary Christian was led to victory by Ace Taylor and Ethan Sabec. Taylor scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists, while Sabec dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sabec has scored all season. Madden Geiger was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Calvary Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Palmetto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.
Calvary Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Shorecrest Prep at 6:30 p.m. Palmetto will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against North Tampa Christian Academy at 12:45 p.m. on January 19th. North Tampa Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Palmetto in Florida (North Tampa Christian Academy is ranked 31st, while Palmetto is ranked 192nd).
