Estero barely beat Cypress Lake the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Estero put the hurt on Cypress Lake with a sharp 16-4 victory on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Annika Jarvi tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Ava Weinbaum was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Dena Peregrin, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Estero kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Bonita Springs' offense. They came up short against Cape Coral on Thursday, falling 14-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bullsharks have suffered against the Seahawks since February 20, 2020.
Estero now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bonita Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Bonita Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Estero hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .409. It's a different story for Bonita Springs, though, as they've only averaged .216. Will they be able to contain Estero's hitters?
