After a string of three wins, Gainesville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Panther Creek Panthers an easy 67-42 win. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Panthers are ranked 165th).

Panther Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was RODNEY WAGNER, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of XAVIER RAINWATER, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Panther Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
