The Bolingbrook Raiders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 20-0 walloping at the hands of Lincoln-Way East. While losing is never fun, Bolingbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Lincoln-Way East is ranked fourth).
Lincoln-Way East can attribute much of their success to Nuri Muhammad, who rushed for 126 yards.
Bolingbrook's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 Lincoln-Way Central and 6-3 Naperville North (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.8% over those games). As for Lincoln-Way East, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Bolingbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln-Way East will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Taft at 3:00 p.m. Taft is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
