The Dighton Hornets can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 55-21 win over Western Plains/Healy. Winning may never get old, but Dighton sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Leading Dighton to victory were Carson Shimer and Daniel Cramer. Shimer scored 19 points along with five rebounds, while Cramer scored 15 points along with six assists and four steals. Cramer is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of George Von Leonrod, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Dighton's victory bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Western Plains/Healy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
Dighton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-22 victory vs. Wheatland-Grinnell on the 12th. Western Plains/Healy will head out on the road to square off against Triplains/Brewster at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Western Plains/Healy is ranked 346th, while Triplains/Brewster is ranked 340th).
