Allen lost to Wausa the last time the two teams met, but they didn't allow Wausa the same satisfaction this time around. On Friday, Allen secured a 32-26 W over Wausa.
Allen got off to a sluggish start, posting six total points in the first half. As for Wausa, they scored 20 to put Allen at a 6-20 disadvantage heading into the break. The Allen offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 26 points.
Allen found Allen's leader in an underclassman sophomore Kobe Kumm, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players. In fact, with 12 tackles Twohig was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse sophomore Devin Hoesing, who racked up 11 tackles.
Next week Allen take on Randolph at 7:00 PM. Allen are catching Randolph at a good time: Randolph have scored fewer and fewer points over their past three games. As for Wausa, they will face off against Hartington-Newcastle. Wausa's defense better steel itself: Hartington-Newcastle are averaging 32.33 points per game.
