Volleyball Recap: Statesboro's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Statesboro was the 2-1 winner over Greenbrier when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell 2-0 to the Wolfpack on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Statesboro ultimately came up short, they really made Greenbrier work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24.

Olyana Deckard paced Statesboro's offense, picking up five kills. Deckard got some help from Callie Simmons and her 11 assists.

Statesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Greenbrier, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Statesboro and Greenbrier will both be playing Georgia School for Innovation & Classics the next time they take the court. The Wolfpack will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Blue Devils will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
