Softball Recap: Arcadia Wins Going Away Against Arlington

Arcadia barely beat Arlington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Redskins put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 15-2 victory on Monday. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Alanna Tucker was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Arcadia got a massive performance out of Averie Smarr, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Smarr a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Colman, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Arcadia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 14.4.

Arcadia's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Arlington, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Arcadia will face off against Bluffton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will challenge Liberty-Benton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
