Even though the Live Oak Acorns scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, the Hill Falcons still came out on top. Hill enjoyed a cozy 78-61 win over Live Oak. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hill also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Live Oak lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Austin Jennings, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. Jennings is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raymond Ramirez, who scored 17 points.
Hill's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Live Oak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilroy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gilroy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Live Oak, they will head out on the road to challenge Ann Sobrato at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
