The South Broward Bulldogs will face off against the Miramar Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Broward focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, South Broward came up short against the Bobcats and fell 53-44.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dominique Brutus, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Collier, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Miramar pushed their score all the way to 60 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northeast. While losing is never fun, Miramar can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 75th).
South Broward has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. Miramar's record now sits at 13-12.
South Broward didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Patriots in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, but they still walked away with a 66-61 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Miramar's Malik Cooper, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for South Broward to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
