Basketball Recap: Sheridan Piles Up the Points Against Eastern

Sheridan hadn't done well against Eastern recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Sheridan Blackhawks blew past the Eastern Comets 83-49. The Blackhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Sheridan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Wright, who went 9 of 12 en route to 27 points and six assists. That's the most points Wright has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Trey Page, who went 9 of 19 on his way to 25 points.

Sheridan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Sheridan pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Eastern, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
