  Eliza Alford was  excellent,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kaitlyn Lemming, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Walton-Verona's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Dixie Heights,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-11.
 Looking ahead, Walton-Verona will challenge Holy Cross at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Dixie Heights, they will host Fleming County  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
