While Briarcrest Christian's win against Trinity Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Briarcrest Christian Saints had just enough and edged out the Trinity Christian Academy Lions 6-5. The Saints' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brayden Holland made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Holland was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Preston Johns looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Houston Walker, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Landon Rogers also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Briarcrest Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Briarcrest Christian's record now sits at 2-4. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Briarcrest Christian and Trinity Christian Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Briarcrest Christian will challenge Grissom at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday down 69 places (99 vs. 30). Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy (ranked 179th) will meet McNairy Central (ranked 19th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
