They enjoyed a cozy 59-45 victory over North Decatur. That's another feather in the cap for Lawrenceburg, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lawrenceburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Charlie Meyer led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Knigga, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
North Decatur's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Morris, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Brady Mauer, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Lawrenceburg's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for North Decatur, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
Lawrenceburg will head out on the road to face off against Jac-Cen-Del at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jac-Cen-Del will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Lawrenceburg is ranked 112th). As for North Decatur, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Morristown at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Morristown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
