The biggest upset of the week belonged to Utica Stevenson, who defeated 105th ranked Utica Eisenhower, 17-15. Frank D'Ascenzo threw for 64 yards and ran for 116 yards in the win.
Dakota added to the longest winning streak in Macomb Area - Red this week by beating Chippewa Valley, 52-7. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Cougars.
D'Ascenzo provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Titans bested the Eagles.
Tyler Crowell put up the best numbers through the air as Dakota beat the Big Reds. He finished with a total of 5 completions for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns. Crowell's favorite target this week was Benji Marshall, who caught 2 passes for 88 yards.
Mike Giannone's team's Crowell and Brendan Mangan led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Crowell has thrown for 1,064 yards this season, while Mangan has 30 catches for 336 yards. Utica Stevenson's Nicholas Turner leads the league in rushing yards with 502.
The Cougars took down Chippewa Valley 52-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Crowell during the win.
