Deriante Jenkins and Jose Robinson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Kingstree. The connection was good for 65 yards, the longest such play in AA Region VII this season.
Timberland extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Andrews, 40-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Lake Marion's dynamic duo of Jenkins and Chris Turner proved tough for the Jaguars to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jenkins threw for 387 yards and three touchdowns and Turner had 87 yards receiving. Brandon Shaw helped Lake Marion's passing attack out by catching four balls for 78 yards.
DeVonta Wright was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 184 yards on 16 carries as Lee Central topped Kingstree. T'Darius Gregg also contributed to the rushing game with 63 yards on the ground.
Lake Marion's Jenkins and Mike Williams have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading AA Region VII in both passing and receiving yards. Jenkins has thrown for 2440 yards this season, while Williams, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 39 catches for 981 yards. Jaleel Filmore from the Yellowjackets leads the league in rushing with 869 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Stallions take on Timberland. Lee Central's offense has scored 370 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Arthur Craig's team has allowed only 90 on the year.
Chris Carter's team's Williams needs only 19 receiving yards against Andrews to crack 1,000 for the season.
The Gators took down Reginald Jamison's team 47-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jenkins in the win.
