Spoto made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Blake, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Spoto Spartans' way against the Blake Yellow Jackets on Thursday as the Spoto Spartans made off with a 19-4 win. Considering the Spartans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Jasmine McCray was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.
