After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Reno, the Spanish Springs Cougars were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 62-30 victory over Carson. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Spanish Springs has posted against Carson since December 5, 2017.
Spanish Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tanner Bowers out in front who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah McBride, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Spanish Springs pushed their record up to 9-11 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Carson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spanish Springs will take on Galena at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Carson, they will head out on the road to face off against Reno at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Reno has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
