The biggest upset of the week belonged to University, who took down 195th ranked Lyman, 28-27.
Lake Brantley extended the longest winning streak in 8A District 2 this week by beating Lake Mary, 21-17. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Patriots.
Seminole's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Horonadis Tillman threw for 113 and two touchdowns and Jerlarius Watkins had 59 yards receiving. On the ground Drevon Slater chipped in 63 yards. Deon Brown helped Seminole's passing attack out by catching three balls for 29 yards.
On the ground, the Rams' Keiyshard Bobb has rushed for 554 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Nicholas Westbrook-Ikhine. The Lake Mary star has 27 catches for 443 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Titans take on Lake Brantley. As it stands, University is in third, while George Clayton's team is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when the Seminoles and Lake Mary face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Seminole comes in having scored 197 this season, while Scott Perry's team has scored 227. Robert Vite's team scored 28 points last week as it bested Hagerty.
The Seminoles made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,140 from 2,570. The advance stemmed from a 28-19 victory over the Huskies last week.
