When it comes to explaining why Salem Baptist Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Garrett Trinkle. Despite the final result, he shot 7-for-13 from long range and dropped a double-double on 39 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Trinkle has scored all season. Mason Gregg was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Salem Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Hickory Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.
Salem Baptist Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Guilford Home Educators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hickory Christian Academy, Hickory Christian Academy and Statesville Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Statesville Christian is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
