Baseball Recap: Greensburg Has No Trouble Against Scottsburg

With a playoff win on the line, Greensburg rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Scottsburg Warriors as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Caleb Greiwe, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May. Another player making a difference was Logan Meyer, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Greensburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Scottsburg, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-6.

As of now, neither Greensburg nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
