The Wolfpack scored 21 points in the fourth quarter on two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, North Paulding led 28-17 at the half.
NP expanded its lead to 25 points entering the fourth quarter. The Dallas school scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Corn Collins.
Chase Noonan and
Kayden Bishop teamed up to form a great passing pair. Bishop caught three touchdowns and Noonan threw three. Bishop has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Noonan has thrown 15.
The defeat comes as a step back for Rome, who notched a 36-20 victory over Paulding County in its previous outing. The loss snapped Rome's two-game winning streak.
Rome (3-3) will play a AAAAA Region 5 game against East Paulding next week, while North Paulding (6-1) will take on Paulding County also in a AAAAA Region 5 game.
