If Glenbrook South was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Lake Forest on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell just short of the Glenbrook North Spartans by a score of 7-5 on Monday. The Titans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Glenbrook South got a good showing from Cam Lewis, who struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the first time Lewis hasn't allowed a single earned run over his last four matches.

At the plate, Trey Ryno made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Nottage, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Glenbrook South's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Glenbrook North, they pushed their record up to 16-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

While Glenbrook South had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
