The Plainview Indians waltzed into their matchup Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Sulphur 41-21. Plainview might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jacelyn Hammon, who scored ten points along with eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilee Hedger, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Plainview's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Sulphur, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview and Pauls Valley will face off on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pauls Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Plainview is ranked 101st). Sulphur and Lindsay will face off at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Lindsay's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Sulphur has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
