Tiospa Zina has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. The Tiospa Zina Wambdi and the Webster Bearcats will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Tiospa Zina focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Tiospa Zina was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-40 to St. Francis Indian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tiospa Zina in their matchups with St. Francis Indian: they've now lost four in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Kami Crawford, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maya Deutsch, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Tiospa Zina were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Webster scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Ipswich as Webster made off with a 51-27 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Webster has managed all season.
Tiospa Zina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Webster, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Tiospa Zina ended up a good deal behind Webster when the teams last played back in December of 2022, losing 50-31. Will Tiospa Zina have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
