Highland won the last time they faced Fredericksburg Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Highland Hawks had just enough and edged the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles out 50-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Fredericksburg Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Riley Thomas, who posted nine points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. Thomas is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Amri Donado, who went 8 for 13 en route to 20 points.

Highland has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Fredericksburg Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-28 victory against Fredericksburg Academy on the 17th. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-22 win against Grace Christian School on the 17th.
