Moore Haven hasn't had much luck against Glades Day recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Terriers will host the Gators at 6:30 p.m. Moore Haven will be strutting in after a win while Glades Day will be coming in after a defeat.
While Moore Haven's victory against Sheridan Hills Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Terriers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Sharks on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Terriers have posted since February 18, 2025.

Colt Rhymes and Thaddeus Johns made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Rhymes tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Johns struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. At the plate, Rhymes went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Johns went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kenny Simmons, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Glades Day couldn't beat Atlantic Christian on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Gators lost 18-8 to the Sharks. While the Gators didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Sharks 5-1 in the first period.
AJ Mcallister made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Taranza McKelvin Jr, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Moore Haven has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.0 runs this season. As for Glades Day, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
