The Guthrie Jaguars lost against the Paducah Dragons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Guthrie had to suffer through a rough 97-53 loss at the hands of Paducah. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Guthrie in their matchups with Paducah: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hazen Lamb, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lamb has scored all season. Rodie Sanders was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Guthrie has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Paducah, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.
Guthrie will be playing in front of their home fans against Motley County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Guthrie is coming into the matchup with five straight defeats at home, so Motley County is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Paducah, they will head out on the road to face off against Jayton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paducah is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
