Meadow Bridge is 9-1 against Liberty since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Meadow Bridge Wildcats will be playing at home against the Liberty Raiders at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Meadow Bridge and seven for Liberty.
Last Monday, Meadow Bridge was the victim of a tough 47-21 loss at the hands of Independence. Meadow Bridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-4.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Riley Roberts, who scored seven points along with three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Cooper, who scored two points.
Meanwhile, Liberty ended up a good deal behind Independence last Tuesday and lost 56-38. Liberty was down 48-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meadow Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Liberty, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
Meadow Bridge strolled past Liberty in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 51-35. Does Meadow Bridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
