Spalding is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Westside is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Spalding Jaguars will take on the Westside Seminoles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Bahji Daniel and Joshua Harden.
Spalding suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Baldwin on the road and fell 86-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spalding has scored all season.
Meanwhile, even though West Laurens scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Westside still came out on top. Westside took their match against West Laurens 67-57. Given Westside's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while West Laurens is ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chauncey Williams out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Cam Rembert was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Spalding's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Westside, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Spalding might still be hurting after the 58-34 defeat they got from Westside in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Spalding have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
