The Great Oak Wolfpack had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against Redlands East Valley as Great Oak made off with a 72-49 victory. For Great Oak, this counts as revenge for the 48-35 defeat Redlands East Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Ivens, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds. The contest was Ivens' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Darrell Green, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds.
Great Oak's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Redlands East Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Great Oak's road trip will continue as they head out to face Perris at 5:30 p.m. on December 4th. Perris will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 720th, while Great Oak is ranked 272nd). As for Redlands East Valley, they will be playing at home against Murrieta Mesa at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Murrieta Mesa has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 348 points over their last four contests.
