5A Continental recap November 19, 2013
ThunderRidge and Grandview played the closest game in 5A Continental this week, with ThunderRidge eventually emerging with a 13-9 victory. Kevin Knox ran for 95 yards in the win.
The Grizzlies led the league in points allowed with 9.
ThunderRidge's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Knox chipped in 95 yards.
Knox provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Joe Johnson's team topped the Wolves.
Mark Hopper was the best wideout in the league this week as the Grizzlies defeated Grandview. Hopper racked up 1 reception for 18 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Keaton Thames of Highlands Ranch is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,729. He has also thrown 20 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Hopper. The ThunderRidge star has 48 catches for 903 yards.
ThunderRidge's Hopper needs only 97 receiving yards against Fairview to crack 1,000 for the season. He has recorded 48 catches for 903 yards this year.
Matt Stanley of the the Grizzlies is only 15 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Stanley has rushed for 985 yards on 180 carries so far this year.
ThunderRidge also led 5A Continental in scoring this week after putting up 13 points.
