Athens' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Quinn Banks, who scored 12 points. Asa Holcombe was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Warren, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Athens will be playing in front of their home fans against Minford at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warren, they will head out on the road to face off against New Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully New Lexington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday.
