The Cleveland Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Bristow, falling 83-41. While losing is never fun, Cleveland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while Bristow is ranked 112th).
Bristow's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addi Alexander, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Alexander has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times she's played. Shalyn Edmondson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Bristow, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Cleveland will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Bristow will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sperry at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
