Itasca barely beat Blum the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Itasca put the hurt on Blum with a sharp 23-4 victory on Tuesday. The Wampus Cats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

EJ Garcia looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Buddy Jackson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Mears, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Itasca pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Blum, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Itasca wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-9 win against Italy on the 21st. As for Blum, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Milford on the 25th.
