The Centennial Golden Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Frontier 101-72 at home. Centennial has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Centennial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rippen Gill, who scored 20 points along with six assists and five steals. Gill hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Michael Gutierrez, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Frontier's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dallin Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds, and Zach Garnett who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crawford has scored all season. Kai Wilkins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
The victory (which was Centennial's seventh in a row) raised their record to 23-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Frontier, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-8.
Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Frontier also has no future games currently scheduled.
