This season hasn't been kind to the Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were beaten by Massena 64-34 on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ogdensburg Free Academy in their matchups with Massena: they've now lost five in a row.
Leading Massena to victory were Colin Patterson and Taylor Mitchell. Patterson scored 20 points, while Mitchell scored 27 points. The matchup was Patterson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tapeni Labrake, who scored six points.
Ogdensburg Free Academy's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Massena, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Gouverneur the next time they take the court. Massena will host Gouverneur at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Ogdensburg Free Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
