The Newcastle Bobcats waltzed into their contest Friday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They blew past Petrolia, posting a 55-21 win at home. Considering Newcastle has won ten games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Newcastle pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Petrolia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newcastle will play host again and welcome Graford, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Graford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Petrolia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wichita Christian at 11:30 a.m. on December 16th.
