After flying high against Menasha on Thursday, Seymour came back down to earth. The Thunder fell just short of the Pewaukee Pirates by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Thunder's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Seymour saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Steffens, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Pewaukee, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seymour will face off against New London at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Pewaukee, they will challenge New Berlin West at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
