Kami Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lakeway Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Linx, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Providence Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kinley Painter. Despite the final result, she scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Painter has scored all season.
The victory got Lakeway Christian Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Providence Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeway Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Christian Academy of Knoxville at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Christian Academy of Knoxville will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Providence Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against White Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. White Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
