The Ethel Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 78-57 walloping at the hands of McAdams. Ethel has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Ethel saw an underclassman step up: X'zavius Merritt scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ladarris Hubbert, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Ethel has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for McAdams, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-6.
Ethel won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Velma Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three contests. McAdams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
