Bowsher has gone a perfect 10-0 against Rogers recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rebels will square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Bowsher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Bowsher and Southview, and Southview kept the tradition alive. The Rebels lost 13-2 to the Cougars on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rebels have suffered since April 13th.
Bowsher saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donovan McClellan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Rogers got the win against Scott on Thursday by a conclusive 27-6. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
Jonathan Grimes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Rogers is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-13 otherwise. Grimes was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Rogers got a massive performance out of Gabriel Pierce, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five runs and two stolen bases. That's the most runs Pierce has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jo'Zeiah Hodges-Harris, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Rogers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory made it two in a row for Rogers and bumps their season record up to 6-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 24.5 runs over those games. As for Bowsher, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bowsher has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rogers struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bowsher got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Rogers by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
