The Molalla Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Parkrose Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Molalla's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Gladstone/Riverdale by a score of 14-12.
Meanwhile, Parkrose lost to Estacada at home by a decisive 30-14 margin on Friday. Parkrose has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Parkrose took the loss, they still got scores from Jelani Scott and Jeremiah Taylor.
Molalla's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 6-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.7 points per game. As for Parkrose, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Everything went Molalla's way against Parkrose in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as Molalla made off with a 28-7 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Parkrose's Joshua Morris, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Molalla to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
