Meanwhile, Westminster Schools of Augusta faced Crisp Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Westminster Schools of Augusta simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Crisp Academy 69-0 at home. The win was familiar territory for Westminster Schools of Augusta who now have six in a row.
Westminster Schools of Augusta's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Caleb Franks, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and Levi Murphey, who threw for 232 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Porter Grinalds, who picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Westminster Schools of Augusta's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Levi Ketterman was the leader with two sacks.
David Emanuel Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
