In what's become a running theme this season, the Sand Rock Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Gaston, posting a 61-26 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Sand Rock sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Sand Rock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Handy, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Handy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Stephens, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Sand Rock has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Gaston, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
Sand Rock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gaston also has no future games currently scheduled.
