After both having extra time off, the La Salle Lancers and the St. Mary's Academy Belles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (La Salle has five straight victories, St. Mary's Academy has 17 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
La Salle's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.
