Given Saint Andrew's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Oxbridge Academy is ranked 558th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Saint Andrew's got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooklyn Vick out in front who scored 25 points along with six assists and five steals. Vick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Sampaio, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Saint Andrew's has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Oxbridge Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Andrew's will take on Miami Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miami Country Day is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Oxbridge Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ransom Everglades at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ransom Everglades is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
